The Harborough Mail last week published an article discussing how Market Harborough is very much the place to be, following a new campaign to ‘Make It Harborough’, which is highlighting the vast range of entertainment taking place in the town over the coming weeks.

In September, Market Harborough will play host to a wide variety of events, ranging from a triathlon to a food and drink festival.

The first event, Market Harborough’s Summer Fayre, took place this weekend, with the Food and Drink Festival taking over Welland Park on the 30th and 31st August. The following weekend will see the town’s second annual triathlon, as well as top international street theatre festival Arts Fresco closing the town centre and bringing a range of colourful and wacky street performers to the town.

Proud of Market Harborough

Harborough Council leader Blake Pain is backing the campaign, and said: “We should be very proud that we get to host such exciting cultural events in our district. It’s very special. In my view, we should be extremely proud of the diversity and number of events that independent organisers promote within the district.”

William Naylor, of Naylors Estate Agents adds: “The sense of culture and community spirit in Market Harborough is just one reason why it’s such an exciting place to live and work. There is always something going on, for adults, children and families alike.”
