Market Harborough has once more been listed in a top 10 list of the best English towns, this time in The Telegraph.
The town came in at number 10 in the national paper’s list of new ‘supertowns’ for commuters. The towns were listed in order of price growth over a decade, as reporter Caroline McGhie explains: “We have looked for towns which offer something special, where average house prices are still below £400,000 but rising steadily, and where there are rail links to London.”

The report stated that Market Harborough’s average house price is £262,076, which represents a 27% gain on the prices in the town 10 years ago. It also stated that London is also commutable from Market Harborough, with St Pancras station only 60 minutes away on the train.
The list also includes towns in neighbouring counties Warwickshire and Lincolnshire, with Royal Leamington Spa and Stamford both included.
William Naylor of Naylor’s Estate Agents comments: “It’s great news that Market Harborough has once again been recognised by a national newspaper.”
“Whilst it’s true that the town is perfect for commuters, that is not all it has to offer. A brilliant range of independent shops and restaurants, highly rated schools, and a thriving local business community make it an ideal place to both live and work.”
