Developers of the proposed plan to build 600 new homes on the outskirts of Market Harborough are progressing with the idea and will put the proposals on display for residents to view later this week.

The display will be on show at Market Harborough Leisure Centre, Northampton Road, on the 9th and 10th June from 2pm-8pm.

In addition to building up to 600 new houses, the plan includes proposals for a primary school and a local centre featuring shops, a doctor’s surgery and a community centre. Developers call the 88-acre site Overstone Park and it is located off Clack Hill, between the top of Kettering Road and the railway line.

William Naylor comments “Like all new housing plans, it is important to find an appropriate solution that suits residents and developers. Making sure that residents are kept in the loop at all stages is a must and it’s good to see that these proposals will be on public display. We are urging all the people of Harborough to go and have a look.”

The plans are yet to be approved by Harborough District Council so there is still a long way to go before such a development is put into place.
