If you’ve strolled through Market Harborough High Street in the past couple of weeks, you’ll have no doubt noticed the floral makeover that has taken place. The Market Harborough in Bloom volunteers have been busy preparing the town for the RHS East Midlands in Bloom judges visit and the results in the town are wonderful.

As usual, businesses have been coming forward to support the group’s efforts by sponsoring planters and baskets. The town is now decorated with an array of beautiful and colourful hanging baskets, planters and even a refurbished cart.

At Naylors Estate Agents, we’re pleased to have sponsored four hanging baskets for the fourth year running. We are one of the dozens of floral displays that have taken over Market Harborough’s High Street and the baskets are beautifully displayed outside our high street branch on The Square.

What is Market Harborough in Bloom?

Harborough in Bloom is run by volunteers with support from Harborough District Council and FCC Environment as well as a grant from the council and local organisations such as charities and the rotary club. The group also attract sponsorship of planters and hanging baskets from local businesses.

A large part of Market Harborough’s beauty is down to the hard work of these volunteers and we are big supporters of the work they do for the town. Sponsoring hanging baskets may only be a small contribution but when businesses collectively come together, the difference made to the High Street is lovely.

Here’s hoping that our floral displays impressed the judges when they visited this week! The group has good reason to be confident given their successful history in the competition. Market Harborough in Bloom has won Gold at regional and national level several times in recent years.
